Heather McCuen reflects on
the hostility toward “the protesters” in Montreal. She wonders how the city
ended up so divided, and how to move forward toward a more inclusive political
climate.
Of course, this has eerie similarity to the situation in Egypt where
words such as “demonstrators” and “revolutionaries” lost their appeal and are
actually despised by many in the public.
McCuen’s post is worth reading,
especially by so-called “revolutionaries” as she provides an objective diagnosis of the problem with constant demonstrations and life beyond camping in the street towards "strategy" and not just tactics. Excerpt:
