I liked the campy original (1990) and this "almost" remake is big, fun and with amazing visuals (surprisingly and thankfully not in 3D). One reviewer wrote, "I wish there were less action sequences and more mind games" and I agree with that (the last 30 minutes are disappointing). I'd nominate this film for the best video game of the year. Saying all that, I enjoyed it.
