Noah Feldman, a law professor at Harvard University, is using Sinai's recent terrorist attack (a fact) and run up the ladder of inference (choose a set of selected data) to affix meaning and reach a contrived conclusion. Neither the Egyptian army is that weak nor the Israeli army that effectual when dealing with terrorist attacks.
