Tam Hussein revisits the events of the nationalization of the Suez Canal on 26 July 1956 to draw lessons relevant to the volatile Middle East region. I have a number of problems with the article (Egypt and the Arab world today are different than 56 years ago, absence of cold war, the Muslim Brotherhood is contained by the army in Egypt unlike Nasser who had a free reign, Nasser was president for life while the Brotherhood can be removed through elections, etc.).
