I never thought the day would come to be impressed with a Salafi even more than many of the so-called liberals who are too scared to share their opinions in public or on camera.
Egyptian Salafi Shiekh Osama El Kusy just caused me to be speechless as he answered questions, while attending the Catholic Film Festival in Cairo, about religion, art and organized religion so smoothly, convincingly and in a progressive tolerant manner.
I haven't seen Sheikh El Kusy before so I'm not sure he didn't say crazy stuff in other interviews but it takes courage to talk like that when you are a Salafi. Excerpt from the interview:
